If you’re having issues opening the OneDrive files that some staff send out, please read on.<\/p>\n

Microsoft OneDrive on mobile is forcing users to sign in to an account before opening any links so this either needs to be disabled or you need to have an account that will allow access to our files (some Organizations will block access to other files so you may have to log out of your work account).\u00a0 You can setup a free personal Microsoft account that will be able to open the files but they do seem to make it a long-winded process.<\/p>\n

You could also use a laptop or desktop computer to open these files and they should load instantly, but if you’d like to make it work smoother on your mobile, please follow these instructions for your device;<\/p>\n

For Android:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Open\u00a0Settings<\/em>\u00a0on your Android device.<\/li>\n
  2. Scroll down and tap on\u00a0Apps<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0App Management<\/em>\u00a0(depending on your device).<\/li>\n
  3. Scroll down the list of apps and tap on\u00a0OneDrive<\/em>.<\/li>\n
  4. Tap on\u00a0Open by default<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0Set as default<\/em>\u00a0(the wording may vary by device).<\/li>\n
  5. Tap on\u00a0Clear defaults<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0Open supported links<\/em>\u00a0(to disable opening supported links).<\/li>\n
  6. If you see the option “Ask every time<\/em>,” make sure it’s enabled, or you can select\u00a0\u2018Don’t allow the app to open supported links<\/em>\u2019 to stop OneDrive from opening links completely.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    For iOS:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Open the\u00a0Settings<\/em>\u00a0app.<\/li>\n
    2. Scroll down to find\u00a0OneDrive<\/em>\u00a0in the app list.<\/li>\n
    3. Tap on\u00a0OneDrive<\/em>.<\/li>\n
    4. Ensure that\u00a0Allow Cross-App Linking<\/em>\u00a0or similar options are disabled.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Then please try opening the links again and it should open in either your browser or relevant application<\/p>\n
